Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed September 23, 2026.
Temecula Pour is built to be usable by as many visitors as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, or browser zoom. We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our working standard. We don't claim full, certified compliance — no site can honestly claim that with certainty — but it's the bar we build and check against.
What's actually in place
- Text and background color combinations are checked against WCAG's 4.5:1 contrast minimum for normal text, not just eyeballed.
- Every image carries descriptive alt text; purely decorative duplicates (like the enlarged version of an image already described nearby) are marked so screen readers don't repeat themselves.
- Visible keyboard focus outlines on every interactive element, and a "Skip to content" link for keyboard users to bypass the header on every page.
- Form controls — the filters on the Wineries page, in particular — use real
<label>and<fieldset>/<legend>elements, not just styled text near an input. - Motion respects
prefers-reduced-motion— smooth scrolling and transitions turn off automatically if your system requests it. - The illustrated winery map has a full text-based directory underneath it, so the information isn't locked inside an image or an interactive map for anyone who can't use either.
- Dark mode follows your operating system's setting automatically.
Known limitations
The interactive map on the Map page is a third-party embed (Leaflet, with OpenStreetMap tiles) and isn't fully screen-reader navigable on its own — that's what the text directory beneath it is for. Individual winery pages also embed a Google Maps location frame, which follows Google's own accessibility implementation, not ours.
